Background & Experience
|
After college, Doug worked as an institutional commercial real estate lender with Bank of America in his hometown of St. Louis, Missouri. While with the bank, Doug earned a reputation as a leader in the creation and follow-through of business/corporate development strategies. Doug was promoted to a senior position where he originated Conduit loans covering the Midwest region. Following his successes in St. Louis, he accepted a similar role in Bank of America's San Diego Commercial Real Estate division. Doug structured, organized and managed large development construction loans. Some of the prominent San Diego projects include the Sunroad Corporate Center in La Jolla/UTC (a 180,000 square foot Class A office park), the Siempre Viva Business Park in Otay Mesa (over 250,000 square feet of industrial space), and several other commercial property developments.
Using his skills and contacts with Bank of America, Doug became a commercial real estate agent whereby he continued to cultivate numerous relationships with both investors/owners of private businesses and heads of large corporations. Doug provides his clients in-depth market and investment analysis, lease and purchase negotiations, contract review, finance consulting and the design and management of specialized tenant improvements.
In 2007, Doug was named one of the "40 Under 40" by San Diego Metropolitan Magazine, which recognizes the region’s exceptional young business and civic leaders.
In 2008, Doug was awarded the "CCIM Partner Transaction of the Year" in San Diego, which recognized the most notable, complex and sizable transaction.
